Mark Hoosein - MBA
Chief Operating Officer
Leading the operations team, Mark brings experience in project and contract management, business process improvement, property and corporate security operations, and the oversight of multi- million construction programs. He started his housing career with the Slave Lake Interim Housing project, providing temporary homes for families affected by the 2011 Slave Lake fire. Later he built on this experience as the Logistics Manager for the Interim Housing Project in response to those displaced after the 2013 southern Alberta flood.
Mark has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Alberta and a master’s degree in business administration from Royal Roads University. For his work with Capital Region Housing, in 2016 Mark was named one of Edmonton’s Top 40 Under 40 by Avenue Magazine. Mark is the recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 was awarded IPAC’s New Public Servant Award of Excellence in 2011. He also serves on the board of the Terra Centre.
